Concert Announcement: Angelica Presents "Once I Knew a Fine Song" in Westchester this May
The program features selections from the Codex Calixtinus and the Laudario di Cortona; Alice Parker’s arrangement of the American Shaker hymn “Simple Gifts”; two Andalusian folksongs, “El Vito” and “La Tarara,” arranged by Dante Andreo; as well as the contemporary pieces “Northern Lights” by Ola Gjeilo and “Once I Knew a Fine Song” by Michael Minard.
