“Cancer Rehabilitation & Physical Therapy”
Physical Therapist Franceah Palencia-Quijano, presents “Cancer Rehabilitation & Physical Therapy” at the Englewood Public Library on Monday, February 5 at 2 pm in the library’s Mackay Room.
Have you ever been diagnosed with cancer? Do you have a loved one or a friend that has been affected by cancer and can benefit from cancer rehabilitation? Dr. Palencia-Quijano will discuss the benefits of cancer rehabilitation. In this presentation, she will discuss possible treatment-related side effects and how rehabilitation professionals can assist in restoring a person’s function throughout their cancer journey.
Franceah Palencia-Quijano, PT, PhD, DPT, OCS is a Senior Physical Therapist at Kessler Rehabilitation in Englewood, NJ. She is an orthopedic clinical specialist certified by the American Physical Therapy Association. She has several years of clinical experience treating orthopedic and geriatric clients, injured workers and recently individuals affected by cancer. She also serves as an adjunct faculty and guest lecturer at Mercy and Touro University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program educating the next generation of physical therapists.
