ARI of Connecticut, Inc. 18th Annual Walk for Independenc
Join us this year on Sunday, April 28 for the 18th Annual ARI of Connecticut, Inc. Walk for Independence in support of the nearly 100 individuals supported by ARI. Enjoy a stroll along the Long Island Sound while supporting ARI and their 70+ year history. Not sure if you can walk the entire route, no problem! Listen to the music under the Cove Island Pavilion while enjoying coffee, bagels and other refreshments.
This year we will be honoring the Stamford Health HAHAs (Health & Humor Associates) and Valerie Cadman for their dedication to the Walk and ARI. The HAHA Clowns, led by Nan Cuddeback, have brought fun to the Walk for 17 years. Valerie Cadman, from Connecticut Pharmacy, has been a member of the Walk Event planning committee for over 10 years. She continues to volunteer at the Walk and other events throughout the year. Without her assistance, the walk would not be what it is today.
The 18th Annual Walk for Independence will begin at 10:00am with fun filled activities including clowns, a temporary tattoo tent, refreshments, music and much more. Opening ceremonies will begin at 11:00am, followed by a warm up exercise/dance. The Walk will kick off at 11:15am. There is no registration fee; however, attendees donating at least $50 will receive an event T-shirt. Additional shirts will be given for each additional donation of $25.
