Artist reception Saturday
Gabriela Bornstein, a Mamaroneck Strip resident and emerging artist, will be participating in a group exhibition at MAG Gallery. A reception will be held Saturday, Jan. 13, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the gallery, 1987 Palmer Ave., Larchmont. She will show her new work, Tropical Surrealism, for the first time along with her Blond Bangs portrait.
Brazilian born Bornstein, a mixed media artist, has focused on figurative painting and observational drawing for the past 15 years. She was one of 20 artists selected to participate in the NYFA Immigrant Mentoring Program, local as well as international solo exhibitions and residency. She graduated in communication arts in 1994 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and has been living and working as a graphic designer and artist in New York since 1998.
