Ms President US Campaign and Election
On Sunday, April 7th at 12:30 p.m., Ms. President US will hold its annual election at the Ridgefield Playhouse. Girls in grades 4th through 8th have attended a monthly eight session program where they’ve met and learned from local, state, and federal officials. The program’s capstone event is the culmination of their hard work in developing a campaign platform and delivering a speech on stage at the Ridgefield Playhouse. Campaign platforms include therapy animals in schools, allergy awareness in cafeteria menus, pedestrian safety, and cyber safety.
Candidates represent the Connecticut towns ofBethel, Bridgeport, Danbury, Fairfield, Hamden, Monroe, New Haven, Norwalk, Ridgefield, Westport, Wilton, and Woodbridge. Guests can attend the election either in person or virtually and listen to speeches, vote, bid on silent auction items, and observe the award ceremony.
