A new exhibition, “Amy Schott: Collective Works” will be on view July 18 through August 12 at the Ridgefield Library, 472 Main Street in Ridgefield. The gallery there will feature Amy Schott’s mixed media artwork, which mixes vintage items with wire to form layers of colorful images in multidimensional shadow boxes.
There will be an Opening Reception on Saturday, July 19 from 2 to 4 pm. Visit the show July 18 to August 12 during library hours: Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm, Friday from 10 am to 6 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm. It is closed on Sundays during the summer.
Schott is a Connecticut native who focuses on mixed media and multidimensional works. With a BFA from Syracuse University, she worked as an Art Director and Graphic Designer until changing over to strictly fine art. Her process of blending old materials with new techniques creates wholly unique and beautiful designs. Schott is a member of the Rowayton Arts Center, Greenwich Arts Society, New Canaan Society for the Arts (Carriage Barn Arts Center) and Ridgefield Guild of Artists.
