After the Midnight Ride...Rachel Revere’s Untold Story.
Join the Norwalk Historical Society for 'Rendezvous with Rachel Revere' on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM, Mill Hill Historic Park – Town House, 2 East Wall Street, Norwalk, CT.
Presented by 'History At Play, LLC', this immersive living history experience brings audiences face-to-face with 'Rachel Revere', portrayed by founder and artistic director Judith Kalaora. Best known as the wife of Paul Revere, Rachel was also a mother, caretaker, and witness to the turmoil of the American Revolution.
This engaging program runs approximately 60 minutes and includes the performance, a real-time audience Q&A, and an educational lecture. It is recommended for ages 12 and up, and light refreshments are included.
The story unfolds on May 2, 1775, just weeks after Paul Revere’s legendary midnight ride. Rachel has heard from her husband only once since April 18. With Boston under siege and the British Army closing in, she must make an urgent and dangerous decision: how to move her children—six step-children from Paul’s first marriage and their newborn baby—to safety.
As Rachel weighs each possible course of action, the audience becomes part of the experience, helping her consider the risks, responsibilities, and heartbreaking choices before her. Will Rachel succeed in her perilous mission to reunite and protect her family in the midst of revolution?
