The 12 professional voices of the Downtown Music Chorale offer works formed by a journey from the African Continent, through the Caribbean, to the United States. Timothy Lewis, Artistic Director of Downtown Music, leads this program which includes a pre-concert talk placing the music in historical context. This concert is made possible by a gift from Nicole Jackson, in honor of her mother, Dorothy Jackson.
