“Rosie the Riveter” became an iconic symbol of working women during World War II. What was it really like for them?
Connecticut Museum Educator, Mya Conception, will lead us through a multimedia presentation to help us learn the answer. We will look at propaganda posters, art, music, photos, and hear real-life accounts of Connecticut women who worked for victory during the war.
Sponsored by the Newtown Historical Society & the C.H. Booth Library. Refreshments will be served! This event is free to the public, but donations are always appreciated!
