Rock'n Good Fundraiser - Music with Heart
Music With Heart (aka the Boston Minstrels) has been providing a unique blend of musical entertainment, audience interaction and participation - and a sense of encouragement, involvement and hope - to Greater Boston homeless shelter guests, nursing home residents, senior center visitors, veterans hospital patients and women's prison inmates since 1991. The shelters and centers are located in several in Boston neighborhoods and in neighboring communities.
On Saturday, April 22 (7 PM-10 PM) this non-profit volunteer group - founded by longtime Brighton residents Tim and Jane McHale - shares its talents with the general public at its Annual Fundraiser at the VFW Post, located at 20 Junction Street in Needham (adjacent to the commuter rail station). The event will feature performances of rock, pop, folk and R and B favorites by its singers and musicians - heavy on attendee participation - along with dancing, food, a full cash bar, raffles and an auction.
In 2022, Music with Heart danced, sang, and shared conversation at over 30 events, connecting with hundreds of people to make their day a bit more joyful. This year's program, well underway, calls for some 40 Songfests and other events with more being added to the schedule. Tickets for the Fundraiser are $55 on line at www.MusicWithHeartBoston.org or $65 at the door. Music with Heart is a 501c3 organization.
