Sarah Friedman (vocals) brings a background of R&B and Blue Eyed Soul to the Pickers fusion style. Silky yet gutsy, Sarah has graced the stage with Family Soul, Taylor Made, Celebration, Center Stage and The Vin LaFleur Band.
Bill Morris (guitar) graduated Berklee. Bill’s monster picking spans rock to jazz, fusion to folk and even a little classical in formats from solo to big band. Bill writes most of the Wicked Pickers instrumental originals, smokin’ or sweet
Paul Green (upright bass, vocals) played rock, funk and studied classical and jazz bass at Oberlin College. A stint in the Peace Corps led to an interest in AfroPop and Latin grooves. His in-the-pocket groove and harmonies extend from bluegrass to neo-soul, his unique originals echo anything from John Prine to Herbie Hancock.
Gordon Hill (violin) has played and recorded with a variety of Boston area folk, rock, and jazz bands including the Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra. Gordon studied classical viola as a youngster and, later, improvisational playing with Matt Glaser.
George O’Connor (mandolin, vocal) studied guitar with Orrin Starr before turning to the mandolin. He has performed his bluegrass ballad “By the Riverbank” as a finalist in the Boston Folk Festival Songwriting Contest.
