ANNIE AND THE FUR TRAPPERS are a Boston-based traditional jazz and blues band. The band was founded in 2016 in St. Louis, Missouri, and features clarinet, trumpet, trombone, bass, banjo, piano, and washboard. Annie and the Fur Trappers is dedicated to performing and preserving the traditional jazz, delta blues, ragtime, and swing music of the 1920s and 30s. https://sites.google.com/view/annie-and-the-fur-trappers/home This month at the Burren Backroom Swing Out Sunday we are celebrating the release of our new EP Mean Blue Spirits. Come spend your Sunday night with Annie and the Fur Trappers as we play the new EP from start to finish. It will be a night of hot jazz, dancing, and blues. We also have some fun Halloween surprises in store... Costumes are encouraged! There will be a costume contest with a chance to win hot sauce and a record! We’re also thrilled to be joined by a special guest: KEVIN SIHLANICK. Kevin is a a guitarist and bandleader who specializes in swing music for dancers. His band, The KS Swingtet is often featured locally at venues such as Boston Swing Central, Swing City, and The Lindy Hopcats. Kevin also teaches swing dancing at Boston Lindy Hop. You can also find him filling in occasionally with The Django Cadre on Tuesdays in the Burren front room or with the Hot Club of Boston at the Bebop on Saturdays AFT will play 2 sets. During the end of the first set, and the second set, Kevin will be featured on guitar and banjo. **Doors open at 7pm for food and drinks. This is a general admission show with very limited seating, however our front room will be open for dinner.**
