Mindy Donner:
Mindy has performed on three continents, and loves to say this. She is a storyteller, puppetry artist and maker, creating original plays with people and puppets/masks. Mindy was a guest editor of Storytelling Magazine,
and has just returned from Sharing the Fire conference, where she was delighted to give a workshop. Mindy is an old friend of Youth Standing Strong Camp (ASST.)
As this is the Chinese Year of the Dragon, as an active member of Storytellers of San Diego, a group of us were asked to prepare stories from that world. You will experience two such dragon stories, in which gestural language is prominent. And humor is understated. These stories will then be put away, as the whole delicate spectrum of cultural appropriation is acknowledged.
There will be a short third story from the master, Hans Christian Andersen, or maybe a personal animal tale.
