On Thursday, December 10th the Trailer Park Boys' bring their off-beat humor to the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, MA on their "Dear Santa Clause"? seven city tour after performing sold out shows to audiences throughout North America, United Kingdom, Ireland, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. They have recently been featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Funny or Die & performed on stage with Guns n' Roses, The Tragically Hip. Building on the success of the hit Netflix show Trailer Park Boys, Ricky, Julian and Bubbles hit the stage with Randy and Mr. Lahey in all their drunken glory.
When Bubbles tries to spread the true meaning of Christmas to the world, his good- hearted plans are botched by Julian wanting to cash in on the Festive season and Ricky's relentless pursuit to meet the real Santa. And if that wasn't enough, all three of them have to deal with the very intoxicated Jim Lahey and his cheeseburger- eating sidekick, Randy. Spend an evening with the boys for a Christmas shitshow you will never forget!
Originally the concept of creator/director Mike Clattenburg, Trailer Park Boys began as a short film starring John Paul Tremblay (Julian) and Robb Wells (Ricky), which debuted to rave reviews at the 1999 Atlantic Film Festival. The premise: a camera crew chronicles the boys' adventures living in the Sunnyvale trailer park in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
Recruiting Mike Smith (Bubbles) to complete the haphazard trio, the idea spun off a mockumentary- style show that ran for seven seasons and produced two TV specials on Showcase (2001-2008). The show was Showcases' high-rated Canadian program and aired in over 15 countries. Guest starts included Rush's Alex Lifeson, Sebastian Bach and Rita MacNeil.
Ricky, Julian and Bubbles' first full-length film Trailer Park Boys: The Movie hit theatres in 2007 and the follow up Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day served as a finale to the series in 2009. The crew was re-assembled for a third movie in 2014, as well as, and eighth season that debuted on Netflix in Sept. 2014. Season nine hit Netflix in 2015 and a 10th season is expected in early 2016. Trailer Park Boys' brand new podcast debuted at #1 on iTunes in Canada in August 2015.
