Tanglewood Marionettes
We are thrilled to welcome the Tanglewood Marionettes back to Newton this year! Tickets are on sale now for two of their spectacular productions; Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. These classic tales are told by wooden marionette puppets brought to life by the artistic talents of Peter and Anne Schaefer who are The Tanglewood Marionettes.

Founded in 1993, Tanglewood Marionettes is a nationally touring marionette company whose unique productions have been seen by hundreds of thousands of children and families across the country. With seven shows currently in their repertoire, the company performs year-round at venues ranging from school assemblies to renowned cultural institutions. You won’t want to miss the beautifully hand-crafted marionettes, colorful sets, and integrated lighting and sound creating a fully immersive theatrical experience appreciated by all ages (pre-K and up).
Both performances are scheduled to start at 11am at Newton City Hall. Cinderella on Feb 22 and Sleeping Beauty on April 18th. $6 per person in advance or $10 at the door if seats are available.
