Boston Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival
"The 43rd Boston Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival (www.bostondragonboat.org) will be held on Sunday, June 12th! Since 1979, as the first dragon boat festival in North America, this event has inspired many cities and towns to have their own festival and events, and it has become the largest Asian cultural festival in New England. After a two year hiatus, the festival returns in 2022 for our community. We are back on the Charles River on Memorial Drive between JFK Street Bridge and Western Ave. Bridge.
Come celebrate the traditional dragon boat festival with us for a day of cultural sharing through fun and free activities for all ages and for the whole family. Dragon boat racing returns to the Charles with our community engaging in friendly competition. Asian cultural performances, such as Dragon and Lion dancing and Taiko drumming, come back to entertain. Arts and crafts stalls return to provide hands-on learning. Also, food vendors will bring a range of delicious Asian cuisines for sale."
