Native Plants for Home Gardens & Habitats

Learn strategies on ways to observe and identify existing native plants in the landscape and how to grow them in your home garden or home habitat. The benefits of natives not requiring any fertilizer or needing any water once they are established is a plus! We will practice collecting any persistent native seeds on last year’s blooms, how to identify native plants, and why these beneficial are critical to the present and future of our at-risk pollinators. This is an outdoor walk to our ongoing native meadow restoration to learn how you can replicate the critically necessary food and shelter for butterflies, moths, birds, and native bees.
