Cape Ann Shakespeare Troupe presents One Act Wonders
Cape Ann Shakespeare Troupe presents "One-Act Wonders", a program of four modern one-act plays exploring boundaries, loyalties, and the absurdities of life. The program will run for four performances only, at Gloucester Stage Theater, April 17th (7:30pm) 18th (7:30pm), and 19th (3pm + 7:30pm). Tickets are $28.
Featuring:
"The Actor's Nightmare" by Christopher Durang, Directed by Billy Lewand -- A man unwittingly wanders into a theater where, unbeknownst to him, he is to understudy for several famous roles from theater history.
"Bed and Breakfast" by Richard Dresser, Directed by Mark Efinger -- Two married couples collide in unexpected and hilarious ways during a vacation to Stonehenge.
"4am Open All Night" by Bob Krakower, Directed by Mark Efinger -- A man, discontent with his home life, visits an all-night diner for some coffee and advice, and sees what might be the woman of his dreams.
And, introducing the staged premiere of "The Menders: A Vietnam Vignette", a new play by local author and performer Ashley Skeffington, and directed by Gerard Roy -- In the middle of the Vietnam war, a brother and sister hold a conversation that may well change their family forever.
