07/20/2025 09:40 AM 07/20/2025 11:40 AM America/Anguilla Weed to Help Monarch Butterflies Black Swallow Wort is an invasive plant that's lethal to Monarch butterflies and harmful to our local songbird population--it's spreading rapidly near important butterfly breeding areas in Cohasset. We'll take a short, easy hike within conservation land, and spend approximately an hour weeding this plant. Please wear sneakers or hiking boots, long sleeves, pants and gloves. If you are able, bring a sharp garden trowel or garden clippers. We'll meet at the parking lot of Holly Hill Farm by the Tomato Barn.
