Harmonic Joys for Musical Friends
These arias are presumed to be surviving remnants from the many German language operas Erlebach composed at the court in Thuringen. Sadly all of the operas were destroyed in a fire. These gems leave us wondering what all we could have enjoyed. Our string players will also play two brilliant sonatas for violin, gamba and continuo from Erlebach's Opus 1 sonatas.
