Friday, June 3, 2016 at 6 PM the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission will recognize the three centuries of "America's Oldest Residential Street"? by dedicating one of its famous blue-and-yellow
historical markers as announced by Karen Galle, PHMC's coordinator of
the historic marker program.
The marker dedication ceremony is free and open to the public.
Saturday afternoon, June 4th, is the only time during the tourist
season when the private residences of Elfreth's Alley are open to the
public. From 1:00 to 5:00 pm, the doors of more than half the private
houses on Elfreth's Alley will be open. This annual event also offers
music, demonstrations of 18th century crafts and refreshments.
The individual fee for this celebration is $25. Family rates available
historical markers as announced by Karen Galle, PHMC's coordinator of
