Join us for ABR’s Annual Benefit Reception, an evening dedicated to advancing justice and opportunity for children and families across Philadelphia. Held in the elegant Crystal Tea Room, this year’s event will bring together 400–500 supporters, advocates, and community leaders committed to making a lasting impact.
For nearly 50 years, SCCA has provided free legal representation and social service advocacy to children who have experienced abuse or severe neglect. Through the work of dedicated staff attorneys, social workers, and volunteer lawyers, SCCA ensures that children receive comprehensive, trauma-informed advocacy addressing safety, health care, education, and long-term permanency.
This year’s benefit will honor Dr. Ellyn Jo Waller with the Judge Lois G. Forer Child Advocacy Award, recognizing her exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and families. The evening will also celebrate distinguished advocates and former clients whose resilience and achievements reflect the transformative power of SCCA’s work.
At its heart, the Annual Benefit highlights how timely legal advocacy and coordinated social services can change the trajectory of a child’s life—stabilizing placements, securing access to critical resources, and supporting children as they move toward permanency and independence. As the need for services continues to grow, philanthropic support from this event is vital to ensuring that no child faces these challenges alone.
