Shoe Drive thru/Drop off
By donating your gently worn, used and new shoes, the church, who has partnered with Funds2org, will earn funds based on the total weight of footwear donated. These funds will be used to help defray the cost of providing bag lunches to the homeless in the Brockton area.
All types and sizes of gently used children’s and adult footwear are acceptable. Collected shoes will then be redistributed throughout the Funds2org network of micro-enterprises in helping them create, maintain and grow small businesses in developing countries where economic opportunities and jobs are limited. Proceeds from the resale of the shoes collected through this fundraising event will be used to feed, clothe and house their families.
“We are excited about our shoe drive which is running throughout the month of March”, said Judy Buck, fundraiser organizer of the shoe drive. “We know that most people have extra shoes in their closets they would like to donate to us. By doing so, we raise money to feed the homeless and we have the chance to also help families in developing nations who need economic opportunities. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
By donating gently worn, used and new shoes to the Covenant Church, the shoes will be given a second chance and make a difference in people’s lives here and around the world.
