North Shore Packathon for Haiti 
On October 20, 21, and 22, volunteers from across the North Shore will gather to pack 100,000 lunches for schoolchildren in the remote mountain village of St. Louis d'Ayiti, Haiti. Volunteers will gather for six two-hour shifts at Christ Church (Episcopal) of Hamilton and Wenham, 149 Asbury St., Hamilton. 
Participants will be trained to work assembly lines to pack vitamin-fortified meals of rice, beans and dehydrated vegetables. They will experience the satisfaction of hands-on work to help others, and will come away from the experience with a better understanding of profound, "no-safety-net" poverty, and the importance of education in building a more resilient future for Haiti.
