    04/03/2023 07:00 PM 04/03/2023 08:30 PM America/Anguilla 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution Public Forum (Menotomy250) ARLINGTON TO COMMEMORATE THE SEMIQUINCENTENNIAL OF THE REVOLUTION (MENOTOMY250) Arlington played an important role on the first day of the American Revolution. On April 19, 1775 the fiercest fighting of the day took place here on the retreat. The year 2025 will mark the 250th anniversary of the historic battles of Concord, Lexington and Menotomy, and 2026 will mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The Town has formed Menotomy250, a committee to conduct planning with other towns across Massachusetts for these milestone anniversaries, and invites YOU to get involved and share your ideas for how to commemorate!
