Duxbury’s popular Holly Days offers a jolly start to the holidays. Stop by Alden House to dip candles and make a colonial ornament to take home. Visit with 18th-century reenactor Audrey Stuck-Girard as she talks about tea culture and the politics surrounding the Boston Tea party on December 16, 1773, 250 years ago! Tour the Alden House decorated for the holidays.
Alden House Historic Site is part of the property granted to Mayflower Passengers John and Priscilla Mullins Alden in 1627 and home to generations of their descendants. Â Now a museum and designated a National Historic Landmark, it is owned and operated by the Alden Kindred of America. Â Admission is free.
