Colonial Adventures for Kids
What was it like to be a child long ago? Alden House’s Colonial Adventure Camp invites kids 8-13 for a day of time travel with hands-on activities, games, and crafts during the school vacation week.
Activities include writing with a quill, dipping a tallow candle, spinning wool into thread, cooking over a fire, playing games, archaeology, and more. The program is led by museum educators.
Advance registration is required as space is limited. To register, please email [email protected] or call 781-934-9092. Fee is $25; $20 for members.
Alden House Historic Site is part of the original land grant given to Mayflower Passengers John and Priscilla Mullins Alden in 1627 and home to generations of Alden descendants. Designated a National Historic Landmark Alden House is open seasonally for guided tours and educational programs. It is owned and operated by the Alden Kindred of America, Inc. a non-profit organization.
