The allergy evaluation begins by collecting information on the patient’s health history, including allergies, digestion, and general health. Then holistic practitioner Pamela Drouin evaluates the immune system with Biomeridian’s Galvanic Skin Response device, applying a small probe to acupuncture points on the fingers to search for blocked pathways in muscles and tissues throughout the body. The device can detect stress on the immune system, which may be causing sensitivities to foods and environmental allergens. The gastrointestinal system is also checked for any imbalances that may be contributing to health concerns.
