Watauga Community Band Fall Concert April 24th 7 pm WHS Theatre
The Watauga Community Band will present its 2026 Spring Concert on April 24th, 7 pm, at Watauga High School's Auditorium, free to the public. The band will play pieces for all audiences. Edvard Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King" is fun for everyone (and a little breathless for the band). "Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral" is a beautiful song from a Wagner opera with soaring tones from the woodwinds. To celebrate the recent Olympic Games, we'll play John Williams' "Olympic Spirit". Billy Joel's "Root Beer Rag", is a rollicking tune with the saxophones performing some of the piano solos from the original. And we'll be playing many more songs that you'll enjoy.
