Are you curious about the value of an inherited antique or garage sale purchase, and looking to find out more? No need to wonder much longer because on Thursday, July 10, The Noyes Museum of Art of Stockton College will host their Antique and Collectibles Roadshow! That evening, between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m., two professionals will visit the museum to offer free appraisals of antiques and collectibles.
Todd Peenstra, President of Peenstra Antiques Appraisals and member of the International Society of Appraisers, and Steve Gouterman, co-owner of NovaGold LLC, will be conducting appraisals, and offering their unique insights to all guests. They have extensive knowledge in jewelry, silver, coins, time pieces, furniture, glass, porcelain, paintings, bronze, toys, documents and many other items (except stamps). They are able to determine the age and origin of a piece, what it is worth, and how to get the maximum sale value. If you want to hold on to your treasure, they can give you advice on where to have it repaired or restored if damaged, answer insurance and donation questions, and advise you on how to resolve tax issues. One free appraisal per guest with museum admission. Please RSVP to reserve your spot by calling the museum at (609)652-8848. The first 30 guests to RSVP will receive a free copy of "The Art Hunters Handbook: How to buy art for $5 and sell it for $1,000,00? by Les & Sue Fox.
