Annually the City of Hallandale Beach Human Services Department host the Hepburn Center’s Annual Women’s Cancer Event and Stiletto Walk. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025.The Stiletto Breast Cancer Walk registration begins at 8AM; walk starts at 8:30 AM. The registration fee is $20.00, and $5.00 for seniors age 60 and older. Proceeds will benefit a local cancer organization or patient. Participants will make CASH ONLY payments the day of the event and must pre-register at http://cohb.org/2025HSCancerEventThe second part of the event includes the FREE Health and Wellness Symposium starting at 10:00 AM. The community is encouraged to attend. Come out and hear phenomenal survivor stories, register for mass breast mammogram screening, attend breakout sessions of impactful cancer education and prevention workshops, visit with health vendors, HIV/AIDS Confidential Testing, Door Prizes and Raffle Give-A-Ways to include free stays to local hotels/resorts, and more. Lunch will be served. Attendees are encouraged to wear something PINK in support of Breast Cancer Awareness! In accordance with the American Cancer Society journal, CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians. The Facts & Figures annual report provides: Estimated numbers of new cancer cases and deaths in 2025 (In 2025, there will be an estimated over 2 million new cancer cases diagnosed and 618,120 cancer deaths in the United States.) Recognizing these cancer statistics, through this community event, our mission is to educate participants and provide resources to aide those impacted by this disease.
