Imagination Library Run for Reading 5k
The Imagination Library is an award-winning book gifting program for children under the age of five that was started by Dolly Parton. Each child enrolled receives a high-quality, age-appropriate book each month in the mail, at no cost to the family, from birth through their fifth birthday, regardless of income. Dolly Parton's Imagination Library works through local community partners, and the Palm Beach County Imagination Library is the official partner for Palm Beach County. Currently, over 450 children in Palm Beach County are receiving Imagination Library books in the mail every month! The Imagination Library Run for Reading 5k presented by the Annette Urso RIckel Foundation, will take place on Saturday, November 18th, at Commons Park in Royal Palm Beach! Use code DOLLYSLIBRARY to save $10 on registration. We would love to invite you to please join in the race, start a team, and run/walk to help provide FREE books for families in Palm Beach County! Participants will receive a custom finisher's medal, t-shirt, swag bag, and help provide Imagination Library books for a child for one year. There will also be activities including book giveaways, and a kids' STEM activity by Stories and STEM of the Palm Beach Literacy Coalition.
