Arts Garage Welcomes 11x GRAMMY Winner Christian McBride
Arts Garage in Downtown Delray Beach will present an evening of world-class jazz on Saturday, April 25, 2026, featuring legendary bassist, composer, and bandleader Christian McBride and his ensemble, Ursa Major, with performances at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
An 11-time GRAMMY Award winner, McBride is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in contemporary music, with a career spanning jazz, R&B, pop, hip-hop, and classical. Beyond his work as a performer, he serves as Artistic Director of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), the TD James Moody Jazz Festival, and the National Jazz Museum in Harlem, playing a key role in advancing jazz through education, programming, and advocacy.
He is joined by Ursa Major, a forward-thinking ensemble of rising jazz artists, including saxophonist Nicole Glover, guitarist Ely Perlman, pianist Mike King, and drummer Savannah Harris. The group blends technical precision with bold improvisation, delivering a contemporary sound rooted in jazz tradition.
These performances offer South Florida audiences a rare opportunity to experience McBride’s artistry in an intimate venue setting.
The concerts will take place at Arts Garage. Tickets range from $108 to $118 (including fees) and are available at artsgarage.org.
