Beach Cleanup & Film Screening at Embassy Suites by Hilton Deerfield Beach Resort
Embassy Suites by Hilton Deerfield Beach Resort & Spa has partnered with the City of Deerfield Beach and Sea Turtle Care and Conservation Specialists, a nonprofit dedicated to the specialized care of sick and injured sea turtles along Florida's southeast coast, to bring an educational experience to South Florida residents and visitors. All interested participants will have the opportunity to join a beach cleanup along Deerfield’s sweeping coastline, before heading inside to one of the resort’s meeting rooms for a viewing of “We Are All Plastic People Now,” an Emmy-winning documentary that reveals the alarming presence of plastic in our environment and bodies. Following the screening, the producer of the film, Rory Fieldings, will be available for a Q&A session to further emphasize the significance of keeping our South Florida beaches clean.
The resort will offer discounted self-parking at a cost of $5 per vehicle. Additionally, refreshments will be provided after the beach cleanup. Follow the link to learn more and attend this free, family-friendly experience.
