“This is our 21st Annual FINNEGAN’S WAKE and people just love it, it’s hilarious, it's great fun and its a
spoof of an “Old Fashioned Irish Wake”, of which the real meaning is “a tribute and a true celebration of
life!” says Owner/Producer of Finnegan's Wake, Connie Davis.
Every year they come, hundreds of mourners, decked out in their Irish finery, to watch the annual ritual,
one of the most unusual events they have ever seen, “FINNEGAN’S WAKE” and believe it or not...as they
roar with laughter, it begins with the Police escort, sirens blaring, the Pipes and Drums leading a cast of
characters, “Pope Frankie" in his Popemobile, the "Italian Priest Father Joseppi" (he's Italian but he
drinks like he's Irish), the "Weeping Widow Carol Mrs. Finnegan", the "Naughty Nun Ginny Girl", "St.
(page one of two)
Patrick Boston Billy, tis himself", the "Irish Princess Wendy the Redhead", the "Mayor of Ft. Liquordale
"His Honor Michael", The "Grand Leprechaun "Sammy the Great" and "Master Leprechaun Kenny"
leading the Leprechaun Brigade and then you see it, the Hearse carefully surrounded by 6 handsome
U.S. Marines in Green Top Hats & Bow Ties as Pallbearers and of course...the mourners and
weepers.....hundreds of them, spilling out into the street, patiently waiting the arrival of "Poor ol' Tim
Finnegan", one of Ireland’s finest and.............. there isn’t a dry eye in the crowd. The party continues with
Live Irish Bands: Tracey Sands, Bangers & Mash and Irish Cowgirl!
They’ll be open for Lunch & Dinner all three days, serving up the Best Corned Beef & Cabbage in town,
Guinness & Jameson, continuous Irish music, a performance by the Pipers, some good old fashioned
Irish Sing-A-Longs and plenty of Shenanigan’s!
