Youth Financial Literacy Day
For youth ages 16-18 (youth under 16 may attend if parent/caregiver feels they are able to understand the concepts below)
Youth who attend this event will get an immersive experience called 'Bite of Reality' where real-life financial situations come to life, and include scenarios that pertain to budgeting, saving, credit scores, debt, and more. This is an invitation to empower the next generation with the knowledge to make informed financial decisions.
Additional resources and information about education, financial literacy, youth accounts, and more will be available for youth and parents after the 'Bite of Reality' experience has concluded.
Plus: All youth in attendance will have the chance to receive one of two $2,500 scholarships!
Cost: This event is free to attend.
Requirements:
Youth must have a smartphone capable of downloading the Bite of Reality app for this event. A tablet can be requested if you do not have your own mobile device.
