World Wide Knit in Public Day / What the Knit Open House
What the Knit! Inc., Bakersfield’s local handknitting guild, and the Kern County Library invite you to join them for an Open House showcasing the guild on Saturday June 8th, for World Wide Knit in Public Day. There will be demonstrations, opportunity drawings, and displays of the knitters’ year-round activities. The guild’s primary goals are to “have fun, make new knitting friends and improve our knitting skills”. The guild welcomes knitters of all levels of abilities. World Wide Knit in Public Day is about showing the general public that knitting can be a community activity in a very distinct way. We love getting together to knit and chat. Come sit with us!
