In this interactive presentation, Zilker Botanical Garden Conservancy's Education Director Matthew Gaston shares the nitty-gritty science of cultivating microgreens.
As Education Director, Matthew coordinates all school group visits, tours, educational programming and docent management as well as develops educational resources. Originally from San Antonio, he moved to California to attend UC Berkeley to study genetics, plant biology and education. He continued his studies at University of Hawaii-Mānoa studying tropical plant and soil science and teaching plant physiology, horticulture and organic farming.
