We summon you to the Tiger Den at the heart of downtown East Austin, transformed into a Chapel of earthly delights of both divine and infernal proportions in the company of the shadow's most voluptuous, seductive and dangerous creature; The Vampire. Demons to some, angels to others, The Vampire is truly an immortal figure and figment that has withstood the test of time. “The Red Death” will let you glimpse the eternal lives of another kind of blood-drinker, the “La Masqua”; those who have succumbed to a plague of immortal blood addiction in 14th century Italy. Instead of vampires that bite, these are vampires about who cut.
Experience Le Peep Show + TGR, February 25th, in a congregation of the senses of our “night-hood”. Upon the altar of our Cathedral of Dreams, we present tableaus and triptychs of seduction and agitation, descent and transcendence executed in forms of dance-theater, cabaret, and storytelling. Body confessions of light and dark, heart and soul, and love and tears for your eyes to bear witness.
As is our way, we invite you to adorn yourselves in the most epic creations you have always desired as members of the La Masqua Familia. Come dressed in your visions of traditional Venetian masquerade costumes or as creatures of the heavens and nether realms. This is a “red tie event”. Wear something red and don’t forget your “killing glove”. For those who have dreamt of cosplaying as The Countess or Donovan from AHS: HOTEL, here is your chance. And note, if you aren’t wearing a glove . . . you’re dinner!
Nothing is so sacred or salacious that it can't be done. Saints and sinners, Priestesses and witches, Warlocks and Holy-men, angels and night-lings, nuns and monks, you're all welcome to dance under the Waxing Crescent towards the Full Moon with us.
