2025 3-Day Texas Women Songwriters Festival

Celebrate the power of storytelling through song at the inaugural Texas Women Songwriters Festival, held over three unforgettable days from September 19-21, 2025, in historic downtown Lockhart, the BBQ Capital of Texas. This vibrant festival brings together over 50 talented Texas women singer-songwriters, offering audiences an immersive experience of original music, shared stories, and deep connection. This year’s headliners—Rosie Flores, Tish Hinojosa, Sara Hickman, Kimmie Rhodes, and Pauline Reese—represent a range of genres from country and folk to Americana to Spanish language artists, creating a lineup rich in tradition and creative depth. This event is free and open to the public. VIP passes are available on a donation basis and parking is available on the street. The Festival is the brainchild of Mandy Rowder, founder of Girl Guitar, Austin’s acclaimed guitar-and-songwriting school for women and business professor in the school of music at Texas State University.
