Community Day at Paggi House: Sunday, September 15
Stop by Paggi House at The Loren, located at 200 Lee Barton Drive, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15, to experience its latest installations and meet the Austin-based artists behind the exhibits - American conceptual artist Susan Scafati and award-winning photographer Stephanie Duprie Routh. Scafati’s exhibition, “A Flower,” features a combination of photography, paintings made with homemade dyes extracted from the peacock flower, and sculptures made with translucent, light-refractive materials. Scafati’s work has been widely exhibited in museums and galleries such as the Sean Kelly Gallery in New York, Blanton Museum of Art and The Contemporary Austin. Routh will present “Daydream in Memories of Youth,” a multimedia installation that delves into the themes of sensuality, beauty and aging. Routh’s photography has been featured in publications such as National Geographic Traveler, RAW Magazine and The Austin Chronicle.
