Paper Tapestries for Our Living Temples
In this workshop, Austin-based artist Krissy Teegerstrom introduces her vibrant, textile works that stem from her own intuition and personal narrative. Krissy will then guide participants through a short exercise to help envision what matters most to you and to translate those values into personal symbols.
From there, you'll use these symbols to map out and collage your own paper tapestry, a piece that is meant to live somewhere meaningful in your life, at home or beyond.
If you are a practicing textile artist, this can also serve as a draft for future work. For this particular workshop, no sewing, textile, or prior art experience is required.
