Tribute to W. C. Clark at The Texas Music Museum on Thursday 1 PM
Stop by the Texas Music Museum on Thursday, March 21st at 1PM, located at 1009 E 11th St. We will be featuring Jay’s Jazz, our Texas Music Museum House Band for a Tribute to W.C. Clark.
The Texas Music Museum is proud to announce a special event honoring the late great W.C. Clark. The highlight of the event will be a tribute performance by Jay’s Jazz, featuring an extraordinary lineup of talented musicians from Huston-Tillotson University. The band, comprising Jacarious Stanley on guitar, Nathan Wallace on trumpet and Jordan Clark on bass, will pay homage to WC Clark's enduring legacy in Austin.
Widely regarded as the "Godfather of Blues," W.C. Clark left an indelible mark on the music scene with his unparalleled talent and dedication. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Clark's journey began in the choir singing gospel music as a young boy. He later transitioned to blues and jazz, mastering the guitar and bass guitar with remarkable skill.
