Spring Vegetable Gardening Class April 5th, 10 am
Master Gardener and Vegetable Specialist Patty Leander’s Spring Vegetable Gardening class is on April 5th, 10 am at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension-Travis County office. Space is limited, register here to reserve your seat: https://bit.ly/49DwfN9
Patty will share how to grow heat tolerant vegetables (like okra, butterbeans, Southern peas, warm season greens, etc.) and include tips for shading and mulching. The class will begin inside and then end with a tour through the vegetable demonstration garden. Masks are optional. Please dress appropriately for the weather.
The first Friday of every month is designated as an open house for the Texas A&M AgriLife Earth-Kind Demonstration Garden at 1600 Smith Road, Austin. You’ll be able to visit the garden and speak with the Travis County Master Gardener volunteers who maintain it and get your gardening questions answered.
