So much of the stress and tension we normally experience comes from our mind, and many of the problems we experience, including poor health, are caused or aggravated by this stress. By familiarizing our self with these timeless healing meditations, just for ten or fifteen minutes each day, we will experience a calm, spacious feeling in the mind, and many of our usual problems will disappear. When our mind is settled and more peaceful, difficult situations will become easier to deal with and our overall health will gradually improve.
Donovan Acker, Kadampa Meditation Center Austin teacher, will introduce tried and true meditations from Buddhist teachings. $12pp/$6 students & seniors
