Join the Texas Early Music Project for this concert full of "firsts," with music by Maddalena Casulana, the first woman composer to have an entire book of music published; Vicente Lusitano, the first published Black composer; and Salome Rossi, a Jewish Violinist and composer who was a transitional figure between the late Renaissance and the early Baroque (and who we're featuring in a major way for the first time on a TEMP concert)! You'll also hear favorites from Monteverdi, Verdelot, and excerpts from La Pellegrina, the 1589 extravaganza created for an important Medici wedding. We're ending our 24-25 Street Songs season with a bang! Join us!
TWO PERFORMANCES:
Saturday, May 11 at 7:30pm and Sunday May 12 at 3pm
both at Redeemer Presbyterian Church
2111 Alexander Ave., 78722
Presented by Arts on Alexander
