Leeann Atherton at The Listening Room at Oak Hill
Atherton cut her teeth in Charleston, South Carolina, dance bands and Nashville honky-tonks before moving to Austin. At Antone’s Nightclub, she found her sound – raw, honest, southern to the bone. Suggested $25 donation goes to the artist.
Her vocals are electrifying. It has been said that she combines Bonnie Raitt’s grit and Billie Holliday’s understated soulfulness with her own exuberant spirit into a sound all her own.
