Tagged “A Moveable Festival”, this event is actually two shows in two cities, Houston, TX and Austin, TX simultaneously. Produced by Brian Kalinec and Joel McColl, it will feature six songwriters, three from each city. Matt Harlan, Libby Koch, and Alex Coba will perform at Kojak's Fine Foods in Houston on Saturday, February 24. George Ensle, Terry Klein, and Matthew Smith will perform at NeWorlDeli in Austin on Saturday. On Sunday, the Houston writers travel to perform at NeWorlDeli and the Austin writers will perform at Kojak’s in Houston. The festival will also feature local performing songwriters at each venue on both days. Local performing songwriters in Houston include: Jim Gill, Joe Crump, David & Kelly Hanshaw, Tom Tranchilla & Buddy Allen, Frank Martin Gilligan, Ed Amash, Susan Elliott, Selia Qynn, Pam Grisham, Ray Wyatt, Hearth and Home, Kim Solem & John Hull, Jordi Baizan, Mark Winters Trio, Gary Graham, Brian Kalinec, Mia Suzanne Walker, Maddy Grace & Colton James, Andrea Cannon, and David Fahl Local performing songwriters in Austin include: Young & Rusty, Mark Viator & Susan Maxey, Danny Fast Fingers, Amanda Kitchens, Joel McColl, and Kris Schultz. Ed Amash ,Tom Tranchilla, and Brian J Kalinec are co-producing the Saturday show in Houston. Proceeds from the Austin shows will go to the Central Texas Food Bank. Proceeds from the Houston Show will benefit 90.1 FM KPFT Houston and Song Circle Houston (Saturday) and the Houston Food Bank (Sunday).
