The Journey from Heartache to Hope: New Book Launch by local authors
Today’s world is full of suffering and heartache, but award-winning authors and speakers Pearce and Savage-Rains have found hope through the life-giving examples of others. Their own heartbreaking experiences over the years led these authors to seek encouragement from their faith, and they learned to turn to Scripture to find the answers they needed. Taking a unique human-interest approach for writing these devotionals, they focused on the lives of 40 biblical people and their journeys from heartache to hope. Digging into the experiences of these ancient characters helped the authors see the themes of hearing God’s voice, being open to new directions, preparing for new adventures, and embracing new possibilities, as the steps available to all of us on our journey through the human condition.
