For more than 40 years, Texas Advocacy Project (TAP) has provided free legal and social services to survivors of dating and domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, stalking and human trafficking across Texas. From protective orders and custody matters to safety planning and connections to critical resources, TAP helps survivors navigate the legal system and build safer futures.
The Black & White Ball is TAP’s largest fundraising event and source of unrestricted funding. Unlike many legal aid organizations that rely primarily on restricted funding, unrestricted support allows TAP to respond where the need is greatest, help survivors who may not qualify elsewhere and ensure life-changing services remain available at no cost.
